Do I Need To Be Computer Savvy To Use Google Adsense?

Autor: robindarch

You don't have to be a techno-geek to use Google Adsense. In fact, you don't need any more technical knowledge than you do to surf the web. Google Adsense is very user-friendly with a comprehensive support site to answer any question you might have.

You are first walked through the sign-up process where you are prompted for any and all information needed. You will then have a couple of days while you are waiting for your account to be approved. This would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the program policies, which of course you read before you signed up. But look again. Make sure the site you are registering doesn't have any of the no-nos listed. For instance, some profanity is allowed, but nothing excessive. What is excessive? That could be a gray area, but if you're in doubt, don't register that site. There's plenty of sites with little or no profanity.

Look at the support site while you are waiting on Google Adsense and see what other's are saying and doing. Most of all, have fun. Your Google Adsense dollars are just waiting to be counted.

Does Google Adsense Offer Direct Deposit?

Google adsense offers various payment options for publishers.

Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF) is offered in 16 countries whereby your payments are deposited directly into your bank account in your local currency. Check Google Adsense support to see which countries participate in this option. You will need to sign up for this option after your application is approved by signing into your account. You then click the edit link adjacent to the payment header. After you fill out the bank information, Google Adsense will make a small test deposit into your account. This is for security purposes to assure the account is really your own.

Watch your account for the test deposit to post, usually within just a few days. After you have received the deposit from Google, log back in to your account and in the Payment Details section, click Verify Account. You then will need to enter the amount of the test deposit. If you do not complete this step, your payments will be on hold. Once you enter the test deposit amount correctly, your bank will be approved and selected as your form of payment.

Protect Your Adsense Income !

Autor: iwilliam99

Many web site owners are getting their Google Adsense account terminated when they have done nothing wrong to deserve the punishment. Considering the money that they are getting from Adsense, they would certainly want to get back into it.

Considering the money to be made with Adsense, it is no wonder that they would want to get back into it.

It is that same consideration why the Google Adsense click fraud is thought of and why many people are getting into it.

Click fraud is the act of clicking on ads for the purpose of costing the advertiser money. It is simply the same as paying out cash for false leads. Many people website owners are aware of this fraud and are sharing the same sentiment that this is the one big problem that Adsense is facing.

How do you prevent being involved in this fraud?

Majority of web hosts are offering access logs. Once this is offered to you, it is necessary that you hand it over to Google as well. This allows them to look for any suspicious activity on your site. Problems like this are very serious and giving it to them is saying that you would want to help them in any way you can in solving the problem.

It can also help if you have a click monitoring software. If you do not have one yet, you should try and get one. There is absolutely no major factor preventing you from having one because most of this software is free.

As usual, all the information you have received should be turned over to Google. This is showing Google that you too are fighting against click frauds and is in no way a part of it.

Study your server logs and watch for any activity that seems suspicious. Report anything that you may find odd, may it big or small thing.

You may want to consider disabling ads for your own IP address and local geographic area. This will certainly prevent accidents and will not make Google mistake another user as you. You can do through a htaccess file. This will avoid Google mistaking as clicking on your own ads and be kicked out because of it.

Keep your Adsense off on pop ups and pop unders. Your ads should not be displayed on content sites that promote illegal activity or tampering of the legal rights of other people or business. Included in this are the content that is considered adult and gambling ones. If you think that you may be breaking this rule, immediately remove your content or Adsense from the web page.

Be truthful and confess up to Google about times when you might have clicked on your own as, whether accidentally or intentionally. Or the times when you have done something that is against the Terms of Service that they are implementing. Be honest about anything that you may have done that is wrong. Confessing is way better than Google learning about it eventually. It would mean eventual termination and no getting back what you have worked so hard for.

Do not tell your family or friends about Adsense on your website. Chances are they may start clicking on them to help you make money without you knowing it. They may be doing more harm to you than help by trying it in the first place.

If ever someone you know chanced upon your Adsense, make sure they understand that they cannot click on your ads under any circumstances. It would be wise to brief them on important things about Adsense and what not to do with them.

Most pay per click networks have different measures in hand to protect website owners against click frauds. Other search engines can track more than 50 data points, IP address, browser's information, user's session info and pattern recognition. They also have "systems" available that detects fraud. Not to mention the specialized teams monitoring how things are going and helping advertisers stop click frauds.

Google offers suggestion on how to avoid click fraud. Using "negative keywords" can be used to keep your Adsense showing on products and services that are in no way related to yours. Adding tracking URLs to your links so you can track the traffic coming from Google.

Do not be caught in the Google click fraud. Be aware and be wary.

I Want 30,000 Visitors And I Know How To Get Them, Do You?

Autor: liztomey

Pick a number. Any number. We're talking the number of people you want to get to your site each month. I'll pick 30,000. Why did I pick this number? Well, I have ten websites, and I get an average of $26 per 1,000 visitors per site. Knowing that, as long as I get 1,000 visitors to each of my sites each day, I'll make $260 a day. That's $1,820 a week. 1,000 visitors a day averages out to about 30,000 visitors a month. This all sounds great, but I bet you want to know how you can do the same thing.

There are three different ways I use to get 1,000 people a day to each of my sites, and I'll explain each of them to you. It's very easy and only requires simple math and you deciding where you to want to put the most focus.

Let's start with the first way.

First you'll need to find a keyword that gets 1,000 searches a day. Next you'll create a web page that is optimized for that one keyword. After that page has been completed, you'll need to get as many links as you can to that page. This will help your page rank, and get you ranked higher in the search engines for your keyword.

The only problem with this strategy is it's very hard to get top rankings for only one keyword. Also, with a keyword that gets 1,000 searches a day, you're probably going to have a lot of competition. So before you try this strategy, make sure to research how hard it will be to out rank your competition.

I only use this strategy when I find I don't have much competition for the keyword. This strategy can take a lot of work, but can really pay off in the long run. Meaning you could make a lot more money with just this one keyword through Adsense or other affiliate revenue.

The second strategy I use is similar to the first strategy except you will find 10 keywords that get 100 searches a day. That's still 1,000 searches a day, so you'll still be able to reach your 30,000 visitors a month goal. Once you find your 10 keywords that get 100 searches a day, you'll create an optimized web page for each keyword. Once you have all your web pages built, you'll need to get as many links to each page as you can.

This is an attractive strategy because keywords with 100 searches a day usually have much less competition that keywords that get 1000 searches a day. The only draw back of this strategy is that you have to work harder and more at getting links. You need to get as many links as you can for each of the 10 web pages. So basically, you have to work 10 times harder to getting links.

There's one last strategy I'd like to talk about, and this time you are going to find 500 keywords that get 2 searches a day. That's still 1,000 searches a day and about 30,000 searches a month. Create an optimized web page for each of your keywords. Last but not least, you'll need to get a few links to your site.

This is a great strategy if you don't like or want to work on getting links to your site. If you like to create content more than work on getting links to your site then this is the way to go. You really don't have to worry about competition when you're dealing with keywords that get two searches a day.

I tend to use the second strategy the most because it offers a balance between creating content and getting links to your site. Any of the strategies will work, but it's up to you to decide where you want to put your efforts.

So, pick a number. Any number. Pick a strategy that suites you and start getting 30,000 visitors a month to your site.

Search Engines 101 Paid Vs. Natural Search

Search Engines 101 Paid Vs. Natural Search

Autor: tkdterry

Whenever folks want to store this getting involved in Internet marketing the first thing that comes to their mind is what the difference between natural search and paid search is. Both strategies have their pros and cons but can be very effective as part of a marketing strategy. The following article is a brief description of both natural and paid search strategies.

Paid search is when your ad shows up at the very top of a Google search or down the right hand side of the results page. These are called “sponsored ads”. You pay for those positions. When every you click on one of those ads the owner of the ad pays Google. This is also called “pay-per-click”. The amount you pay is determined by several factors including what you are willing to pay every time someone clicks on your ad.

Natural Search is when you type in a “keyword" and a link and a description shows up on left hand side of the search result page. The only way to get on the first page is to have very relevant content on your web site and links to your site from other relevant sites. This is a long process for people in it for the long haul. There are a lot of companies that claim to be able to get you on the first page of Google. That may be true if the “search term” is very specific and no one else would ever search for it but you or they are using a “black hat” method that could get you site banned from the search engine.

Search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN are really just data bases. When you do a Google Search you are not searching the “world wide web” you are searching Google’s data base. There are two ways to get in to these databases. One is to submit your site to the different search engines. In about 6 to 9 weeks the search engine will index your site. They have software that comes to your site and index every page and adds it to the database. They come into your main web URL and follow the links to all the pages of your site. They capture key elements from the code on your page to the content. These are then stored in the data base. When someone puts a keyword in the search box the “algorithms” determine the best page or links to the best pages for your search.

The other way to get added to the search engines data base is to have the search engine software find you through a link to your site from another web site back to yours. The software, called “spiders” will periodically comeback and re crawl your site to see if you have updated it.

One important thing to know is that each page on your site is indexed individually and each page stands on its own. The ranking are based upon the combination of correct meta tags, relevant content to the keyword they are trying to get rankings for and link popularity. Mostly one way links back to their site from relevant sites.

As long as the search engine can index the site, clearly read the meta tags and content, the better. The big issues come when a site is built in flash with very little content (search engines cannot read or index "flash" sites. Also, if the bulk of the relevant content is in PDF format this is bad because the search engines cannot read PDF. If the search engines cannot index the relevant text there will be no rankings.

You all ready know this but "sites" are not ranked, individual pages are ranked for specific terms found in the content of that page as well as link popularity, (relevant links pointing back to that specific page) for the term that you are trying to get ranked on.
This is why each page has to be giving very specific attention.

Bottom line: Paid search means you pay for your position. The benefit is if you have the $$ you will get instant traffic. Stop paying and the traffic goes away. Natural search is free traffic but it is built over time. The advantage is that if done right, it can provide traffic for a long time.

Search traffic (paid or natural) is the BEST traffic to have because you are being found by folks who are specifically looking for what you have. It does not get any better than that.

AdWords Ads At Google

AdWords Ads At Google

Autor: runner

Google is not a whatever market place, over 200 million searches are made every single day. It means that it is like a big department store with huge customer flow.

The keywords, which people use when they dig information from Google, are market segments, to which you can target your ads at Google. When you start to prepare ads at Google, first you have to do a keyword research. This is very important because people search information at Google using keywords or keyphrases. They are the topics they are interested in.

Normally you can use tens or hundreds of targeted keywords to be able to reach enough prospects. And to test which ones are working at ads in Google. Then just skip those, which did not bring the traffic.

The content of the ads at Google is critical, minor changes can turn the pull up or downwards. Use your best and most related keyword in the headline and once in the bodycopy of your ad.

AdWords ads at Google bring excellent targeted traffic very quickly, even in ours, but the campaign must be planned carefully.

It is useful to remember, that searchers are searching information, they are not prepared to buy right away. Those who are, are tire kickers mostly. By ads at Google you have to build relationships with the clickers.

This makes the landing page important. Do not wait for sale, prepare to build relationships with your ads at Google.

Some sort of a gift on your landing page is the best. It is nice to get gifts, it is a compliment. When a searcher has clicked your link, give him a quality eBook, free marketing course or teleseminar.

The searcher must notice the gift immediately and sign up to your form to be able to get the gift. Nothing boring but colourful pop overs for instance. This makes your ads at Google work.

You can raise the number of buyers strongly by giving them a gift, getting their email address and keeping touch with them with quality autoresponder during a long time.

Your gift have to be like a temptation, too teasing to leave.
If a person clicks once your AdWords ads at Google without living an email address, you have lost him maybe for ever.

It is shocking, how many people use ads at Google, but do not think that building a relationship is the issue. Relationship building is a multi step process. In most cases from 5 to 7 contacts is needed, before the prospect is ready to buy.

You may have heard the term preselling. Preselling means telling the top of the iceberg only and building trust with the prospect. It is very polite to let the prospect to get all the information he wants, before your sales pitch.

Planning ads at Google must be very in detail work. Things must be exactly correct, not almost. In AdWords advertising the experience is a valuable currency. You just have to know the details from your own experience.

There are a lot of useful software, which are impossible to list here because of the rules.

Affiliate Marketing Basics

Affiliate Marketing Basics

Autor: davtom

Affiliate marketing is the process of tracking leads and sales for the purposes of rewarding individuals and companies for referring others to their web sites that convert into leads and sales with commission payments. Usually, this process involves the use of a specially-encoded tracking hyperlink that identifies you as the referrer of the traffic.

There is one very easy way to get started with affiliate marketing. If you've ever used the Google search engine, it's likely that you will have seen some advertisements called "sponsored links." On Yahoo's search engine, you get a column called "sponsor results." MSN's search engine calls them "sponsored sites." In each case, from the heading, you can tell that people pay for those links to be published on the search engine.

These search engines have each set up a nice easy way to relieve you of some money from your credit card, for which they display these adverts for you. You don't pay each time the ad is shown. You only pay if the reader clicks on your ad, which will send the reader to the web site you have specified. You decide on the text of an ad you would like to place, when the ad should be displayed (for example, when somebody searches for "Christmas"), and how much you would be prepared to pay if the person searching clicks on your ad. The person doing the search is then sent to the web site you specified, and you get charged an amount that may be as little as one penny, but typically may be in the region of 5 to 15 cents or 3 to 10p. Google's service is called Google AdWords, and I believe it's the most popular of these services.

Now, if you had a product to sell, you could easily make money this way, as long as enough people buy your product after you've purchased your advertising. If you don't have a product, you can still make money from the commissions, again, as long as the amount you are paying for advertising does not exceed the amount you are making with commissions.

How do you find affiliate programmes? There are many affiliate networks and individual affiliate programmes out there. ClickBank is one of the most popular affiliate networks, also providing credit-card processing services. ClickBank mainly deals in electronic delivery products such as electronic books and software, and, at the time of writing, commissions can run as high as 70% for these products (ClickBank claims commissions can be 75%, but they take a 7.5% + $1 cut, and the remaining money is shared between the vendor and affiliate according to the vendor's chosen commission percentage).

Another affiliate network is ValueClick's Commission Junction, one of the largest, which administers affiliate programmes for a lot of household brand names such as eBay. There are many smaller affiliate networks, and there are also affiliate programmes that are independent of any network, where the merchant runs the tracking software.

What most of these affiliate networks and programmes have in common is that you can sign up as an affiliate for free, and the networks or merchants will send you money when your commission reaches a certain level; in some cases this is done electronically, in other cases through the issue of cheques. Some people treat affiliate marketing as a hobby; for others, it's a lucrative full-time business. Earnings can literally be uncapped, and your success depends on how dedicated you are to the business, and, to a certain extent, luck.Source: Free Articles

7 Tips To Choosing The Domain Name That Will Catapult Your Business Into An Empire

7 Tips To Choosing The Domain Name That Will Catapult Your Business Into An Empire

Autor: Mokj

Your domain name is your business name on the Internet. This is a decision that will affect search engine optimization as well as your return customer traffic. Your domain name will also affect anchor text of inbound links and your search engine rankings.

Some companies have chosen to brand themselves with names that have nothing to do with their business i.e. Yahoo, Google, Amazon, and eBay. It's not that they don't understand search engine rankings but that they have deep pockets for advertising to help their customers remember their name.

Here are 7 tips to help you choose a domain name making you more memorable to your customers and search engines alike.

1. Keep your name as short as possible. People remember names of their favorite websites. If your domain name is short and memorable you have a better chance of return traffic. Advertising your name offline becomes easier when it's something people can remember without writing down.

2. Be clear about the direction of your web business. When you start your business you may have an idea to sell widgets but as your business grows you may find that widgets, wickets and wonkets all sell well. Your domain name should be able to grow with your business.

3. Try to include 2 keywords in your domain name. When you design your domain name you should include at least one, if not two, keywords in the name. This helps to improve your search engine ranking and organic search traffic. Search engines will place a higher value to a site that sells widgets, has widgets in the name and has content that is optimized for widgets. The assumption is widgets will be the focus of your site and therefore provide valuable content to the searcher.

4. Include the location in the name if you are marketing and selling in only one specific location. Are you a realtor selling exclusively in Chicago? ChicagoExampleRealEstate.com, XYZExampleRealEstate-Chicago.com, YourExampleXYZRealEstateInChicago.com all have the keyword Real Estate and the location. However, if you sell widgets in Chicago but ship around the world you won't put Chicago in the domain name. People searching for widgets will pass over your site if they believe, from your name, that you sell only in Chicago.

5. Avoid trademarked names. You've heard the stories of the little guy who buys a name the big company wants. He sells the name and spends the rest of his days retired on a private island. Those days are gone. Now the big companies are calling their lawyers. TheBestOnEbay.com or MicrosoftRox.com are just not good ideas.

6. Look legitimate and buy the variations. Avoid purchasing .biz, .tv, or .ws as your main site. The most respect is given to sites on .com, .net, and .org. On the other hand once you have a .com that you intend to grow you should also buy the other extensions and potentially even the .biz, .tv and .ws. Redirect those sites to your primary site. This way if a customer can't remember the extension he'll get to your site anyway. The new kid on the block is .mobi. This is the extension used for mobile devices and sites providing services on the mobile web. Opened for general registration on September 26, 2006 and sponsored by a consortium of companies including Microsoft, Google and Nokia this extension has already sparked criticism.

7. Ask for advice. You'd be surprised at how many times a domain names sounds absolutely brilliant at 1 am when you purchase it. However, in the light of day, when you've asked some of your friends, it makes no sense at all. Ask your friends, relatives and head over to a webmaster forum. You'll get great advice, learn a few things you didn't know and see your business from a new set of eyes.

These simple tips will help you establish a solid foundation for your Internet business and send you targeted qualified customers.

5 Search Engine Optimization Strategies for Newbies

5 Search Engine Optimization Strategies for Newbies

Autor: jjarrett

Search engine optimization is a lot easier than you think. Although you need to gather a certain amount of information about your site, preferably before you build your site, once you have the right information, you can quickly and easily build a search engine optimized website that will get you traffic.

Below are five tips for optimizing and submitting your site to the search engines:

1. Know your market.

This step is absolutely crucial. You need to know exactly who you are marketing your business to. If you don't, you can't drive targeted traffic to your site.

The difference between targeted and untargeted traffic is glaring. Targeted traffic comes from those who are looking for your products and services. If you know exactly who you are marketing to, you'll optimize your site for that market.

2. Target the right keywords.

Target the wrong keywords and no one will find you. That's why it is really useless to use marketing tools like doorway pages.

The first thing you need to do is understand what your visitors are searching for.

The keyword terms you may want to optimize for, and what your potential customers are actually searching for, can be different.

Tools like Good Keywords, http://www.goodkeywords.com, can help you find out what others are searching for. The more times that a keyword or keyword term is searched for the better. To determine if you have a lucrative term, do a search in the search engines for the term. Make sure that you search for the exact term.

The more times a term is searched for, and the fewer the sites in the search engines, the more lucrative the term.

3. Learn search engine optimization.

When I first started marketing online, I read all of the guru stuff about buying banners, advertising, etc. The problem was that I just starting out. I was trying to make money, not give away everything that I had.

After becoming a search engine optimization marketer, I felt betrayed. Most of these people didn't talk about search engine optimization because they didn't do it. They simply took offline marketing techniques and adapted them to the internet.

Search engine optimization is one of those rare marketing techniques that has no corresponding offline marketing technique.

It's an online technique. Period. If you want to be successful at it, then you need to learn how to do it. It's not that hard.

One tool that can help you is Web CEO, http://www.webceo.com. This free software works for both PC and Mac. It includes all of the tools you need to optimize your site, and it's free. It even includes step by step documentation to teach you search engine optimization: what works, what you need to know, and steps you can take to improve your rankings.

Read the documentation for this software, and you'll know the most important things you need to know about optimizing your site for the search engines.

4. Optimize your site for the search engines.

Once you've learned the basics of search engine optimization, then it's time to optimize your site for the search engines.

Start by selecting your keywords. You can use the Good Keywords software to help you.

You should optimize for no more than three keyword terms per page.

Once you have your keywords, plug your site into Web CEO. Remember, you are optimizing pages, not your site.

Analyze your site and see what changes you need to make. Once you've done that, you can edit and reload or upload your site to the internet.

5. Submit your site to the search engines.

There's some disagreement on whether or not you should submit your site to the search engines, or whether you should just wait for the search engine spiders to find you.

I stand in the camp that says submit. The reason is that these search engines don't always update the way they should, and although they claim that they will find your site, they may not.

I know this because I had one site that had never been found by MSN eventhough it was linked to all of my other sites and all of my other sites were fully included in MSN.

There are only five places that I recommend you submit, and you should do this manually. Although Web CEO has a submission tool, it's better to submit your site manually.

Below is my list of where to submit your site:

Google - http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
MSN/Inktomi - http://submitit.bcentral.com/msnsubmit.htm (Includes Inktomi)
MSN - http://beta.search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx
Yahoo - http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
Alexa - http://pages.alexa.com/help/webmasters/index.html
Exactseek - http://www.exactseek.com/add.html

These sites cover most of the internet. Before you submit, there are a few things you should know:

1. Alexa is part of Google search. You will get better results submitting here first. This site also allows you to include a thumbnail of your site. You will also get indexed faster.

2. Read the information on each site for getting included. The best way to learn how to market in any search engine is to read the information offered by the site. You'll pick up valuable free tips directly from the source.

3. Once you've submitted your site, forget about it. Concentrate on building quality content and links to your site.

Once you've built a site of around 100 pages, start another one on a topic you are passionate about. Continue adding content to the site or sites you've already built. Keep repeating this process, and you'll achieve success in the search engines: targeted traffic, more sales, and a reputation for providing quality content.

4 Key Strategies to Reach the Top of the Search Engine Rankings

4 Key Strategies to Reach the Top of the Search Engine Rankings

Autor: shakil

Have you ever had a friend call you and say, "Hey, I googled myself today and actually found me!" Cool, you think. You go to your computer and try to google your friend as well. Nothing comes up. You tell her. "Oh, well, you have to click "next" at the bottom of the page. Keep clicking that until you're on like, the forth-seventh page-do you see me yet?!" Of course, just keep clicking "next," why didn't you think of that?

You didn't think of it for the same reasons millions of other people searching the Internet don't think of it. They're either in too much of a hurry to pay attention to anything after the first results page, or they've come to believe that anything after the first results page isn't as interesting or helpful.

Getting your website and business on search engines is a good way to help promote yourself, but getting to the top of the search engines is where you want to be. After all, people aren't going to keep clicking until they find your site on the forty-seventh page. People don't even know they're looking for your site. It's your job to put it out there so it's easy for them to find, and one way you can do this is by getting to the top of the search engines.

Before you submit your website to a search engine you want to first make sure your site is rich in content and that you are avoiding all spam and html tricks. Then, once you're listed, keep these keep points in mind:

1. The higher your number of inbound links, the better. One of the best ways to get inbound links is by writing articles on your niche. The absolute best thing about using this approach is that it is absolutely free so if you are on a tight budget this is a sure fire way to get great rankings with the search engines without burning a hole in your wallet.

2. Pay loving attention to each page of your site, use keywords that relate to your niche in the titles of your pages if possible and frequently throughout the text, as long as it does not affect the quality of the content you are delivering to your visitors.

3. Keeping keywords at the top of your page is the best place; matching search phrases is more effective than matching single words

4. Elaborate graphics are not helpful, they take forever to load and do not contribute to your rankings with the search engines. Remember, your goal is to generate highly targeted traffic that produces a profit not to win the prettiest site award. There are tons of 'ugly' sites making very handsome amounts of money.

Once you've been successful in getting to the top of the search engines, you must keep working to keep yourself there. It is crucial to monitor your status on a regular basis, and pick up the step if your position on search engine result pages starts to slip.

Banned From Adsense! - Pusat Informasi Internet Marketing

Many people have started using Google's AdSense program, but there are some who find it a bit too uncertain or simply not suiting their own requirements from an ad program.

But thankfully for such people, there are many alternatives to AdSense which attempt to alleviate some of its shortcomings. Here is a list of the most noteworthy ones from the lot with a description concerning each one.

AllFeeds (allfeeds.com)
AllFeeds has a great pool of online advertisers to choose from. It also features many display formats that you can choose from. These include banners, buttons, XML feeds, DHTML pop-ups and so on. It also features real time reporting of your ad status. The site will mail a check every month, provided that you earn more then $25.00, while rolling over earnings for the next month if you don't. Another interesting thing about AllFeeds is that it integrates with Google AdSense, maximizing your earnings with AdSense.

MarketBanker (marketbanker.com)
MarketBanker allows you the unique possiblity to set the pricing for your site. It also allows you to allow or reject any link that appears on your site (although AdSense itself does a very good job of this as well, with URL filters) There's also a statistics section which will allow you to see how well your site is doing. The ads are small just like AdSense's and they're just as easy to set up. Also, registration for MarketBanker is free.

BidClix (bidclix.com)
BidClix is different because it has advertisers compete for clicks on your site, which in turn is meant to generate the highest possible profits for your page. It also has a very large pool of advertisers which ensure there are plenty of people to choose your site. However, it does require more polish on site contents then AdSense. As most sites, real time statistics are available and its very easy to get started with this service, but it's also very flexible.

Chitika (realcontext.com)
RealContext uses Artificial intelligence to retrieve the most relevant ads for your page. And there's an extra feature which makes RealContext unique as well. The site also groups publisher sites with advertisers by hand to ensure high-revenue generating ads. Playboy reviews UK sales displays
By Duncan Bartlett
BBC News, business reporter, Brussels

Playboy has always claimed to be more than a pornographic magazine

Playboy has said it will review how its products are sold in the UK after one retailer placed its branded stationery near merchandise for children.

The shop display prompted an angry reaction from the Reverend Tim Jones, who pulled it down and complained the firm was selling directly to children.

Playboy Enterprises said goods bearing its famous bunny logo were aimed primarily at 18 to 34 year olds.

Playboy said it was surprised the goods were "inappropriately positioned".

Mr Jones says his protest at a branch of Stationery Box in York was prompted by anger at finding Playboy goods next to items bearing pictures of Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh.

He said it was "wicked" to groom children for their commercial exploitation by the sex industry.

Playboy said: "We will be reviewing this situation immediately."

"We clearly did not authorise, nor approve, the placement of our product next to well-known children's characters," it added.

'Urban, trendy'

Playboy was founded in 1953 by the American entrepreneur Hugh Hefner. It is best known as a magazine, featuring pictures of naked women.

Playboy's boss Christie Hefner, daughter of the founder, said that her company has been targeting females rather than children, and that 80% of the people who buy the firm's branded goods were women.
They are normalising pornography by making their brand a household name
Beatriz Concejo, Object

Under her leadership, goods bearing the bunny logo - a rabbit's head wearing a bow tie - can be found on everything from pillow cases to dustbins.

"Our products represent a brand that is urban, trendy, stylish and sophisticated," she told the BBC.

Gareth Pitman who teaches branding at the University College of the Creative Arts said Playboy had been clever in how they had used their image.

"They have looked at the positives in their imagery and played along with that, particularly the aspirational aspects of a Playboy lifestyle," he said.

"There will be people who are shocked but I do not think the company will be too worried if it cannot convert them."

'R-rated movie'

Not everyone agrees and for some observers the company and its logo represents little other than a firm which profits from pornography.

While branded goods make up a chunk of its earnings, most of Playboy's other income comes from broadcasting, including adult pay TV channels with explicit content.

"By making their brand acceptable they're making everything they do acceptable, including the pornography they promote through their TV channels," said Beatriz Concejo from the pressure group Object.

"They are normalising pornography by making their brand a household name."

Playboy is used to criticism and claims that its is simply giving consumers a choice.

"We all understand that young people, both young women and young men, aspire to grow up and I am sure that there are young women who would love to wear Playboy merchandise," said Playboy boss Ms Hefner.

"Whether they should or not is up to their parents to decide, in much the same the way parents have to decide whether someone who is a minor is ready and mature enough to see an R-rated movie."

Pay-Per-Click Marketing: How to Waste Your Advertising Budget - Ppc-Advertising

Pay-Per-Click Marketing: How to Waste Your Advertising Budget

A well-oiled pay-per-click search engine campaign can land hundreds of highly targeted visitors on practically any website within a matter of days. That isn't new information. Most experienced online business owners already know it.

But pay-per-click advertising is also one of the quickest ways to lose money, if it isn't done right. At the surface level, the process appears to be as simple as writing an advertisement, bidding for keywords, and waiting for traffic and sales to come rolling in. Nothing could be further from the truth, especially in the midst of today's heated competition for top keywords.

So, for a few minutes, let us play the role of devil's advocate, as we explore some of the common downfalls encountered by hopeful but inexperienced pay-per-click advertisers.

1. - Making Advertising Decisions Based on Emotion

The excitement of tapping into a new market, and the much anticipated thrill of watching click counters working overtime, can and often does lead to a hasty decision making process. Add to this a pressing need for a cash infusion, plus a bit of the gambler spirit, and a framework for failure will emerge.

2. - Overly Generalized Keyword Selection

Keywords that are too broad in scope can inevitably lead to an excess of non-profitable clicks, driving an otherwise profitable campaign into the red.

For example, a website selling athletic shoes should omit the simple term "shoes" from the keyword list. That term alone may generate a massive number of click-throughs. However, a good portion of the resulting traffic will likely be looking for sandals, dress shoes, or some type of shoe other than athletic designs.

3. - Poorly Worded Advertisements

Pay-per-click ads are notorious for restrictions on allowed word count. While the headline and ad body should contain as many prime keywords as possible, every single word in the ad should be weighed and measured for effect. A vague or loosely related advertisement may pull throngs of curious visitors, but the ultimate value of each of those visitors must also be considered. The point of a great ad is to attract only those who have a purchase already in mind.

4. - Failure to Calculate Bid Value

An untested ad leaves much of this process to theory, but even a theoretical profit model is better than none at all. Otherwise, the urge to bid simply for top positioning may ultimately spell an overall loss of profit.

Three critical points to consider are:

- product pricing
- an acceptable profit margin per sale
- a realistic clicks to sales ratio (CSR)

Let's say a modest CSR of 1% may be expected, meaning one out of each one-hundred visitors will order immediately. The product is priced at $69 and a 50% profit margin per sale is acceptable. Given these factors, up to 50% of the product price ($34.50) can be spent to achieve the sale and deliver the product.

For the sake of this example, consider that delivery costs are nil. Therefore, $34.50 divided by 100 clicks = $0.345 as an absolute maximum bid per click. There are only three ways to increase the bid above $0.345 while maintaining the integrity of the campaign:

- raise the product price above $69
- increase the CSR above 1%
- accept a lower profit margin per sale

5. - Failure to Track Results and Manage the Campaign

Once the advertising campaign is set in motion, results should be tracked and analyzed on a daily basis. Many pay-per-click search engines now provide in-depth analysis and reporting tools that greatly simplify this process. In addition, specialized pay-per-click tracking software is widely available, and in the absence of a workable alternative, will prove to be a wise investment.

However, based on this writer's own experience, no two selling days are alike, even on the Internet. We suggest that no fundamental changes be made to the campaign until at least five-hundred click-throughs have been gathered, or until the campaign has been live for several days.

Those suggestions are, of course, only rules of thumb. Any campaign found to be creating a cash hemorrhage should be discontinued immediately and thoroughly reevaluated.

6. - Failure to Enable Follow-up Marketing

An inexperienced pay-per-click advertiser might expect to begin turning a profit immediately after the ad goes live online. However sweet a dream that may be, it is often not the case.

Without follow-up capability, the profit potential of any pay-per-click campaign is severely reduced. A majority of prospects will not buy on their first visit, and may not return to buy later. As a result, the entire campaign may register a net loss on the initial run.

However, even a money-losing initial campaign can be turned into a winner over time, if the campaign is focused not only toward making immediate sales, but also toward producing a mailing list of interested prospects for later follow-up.

The mechanics of the follow-up tactic are beyond the scope of this writing. We invite the reader to visit the link below and investigate a series of articles on follow-up email marketing and the effective use of autoresponder systems.

Ten Tips for Affiliate Marketers Using Google AdWords - Ppc-Advertising

Ten Tips for Affiliate Marketers Using Google AdWords

One of the hottest ways to sell affiliate products is using Google AdWords. Follow these tips and strategies to maximize your earning potential.

1. Seek out affiliate products that generate fifteen dollars or more in commission. Anything in the twenty-dollar range works well. Paying for clicks can add up quickly and when you do make a sell, it should be profitable.

2. The vendor must present a high quality website with first-rate graphics. If the site appears to be unprofessional, any potential buyer will loose confidence and leave before the sell is made.

3. Make it a requirement that the vendor website only displays one product or service on the referral page. Nothing kills a sell faster than having to many sells messages.

4. The vendor needs to include outstanding sales copy. It's easy to realize the importance of this principle; words are what turn shoppers into buyers on the Internet.

5. When evaluating a potential affiliate program ask yourself if this product or service is something you would feel comfortable buying. Put yourself in the place of the buyer. If you wouldn't buy it, why would they?

6. It's preferable if the vendor site does not obviously advertise for the recruitment of more affiliates. An affiliate link is fine as long as it is low key.

7. The best affiliate programs will attempt to secure the email address of your referrals. Some prospects need to see a sales message at least seven times before they will buy. Make sure you still get credit for sales made during the follow up.

8. The vendor should provide testimonials. Testimonials create confidence and trust leading your prospects to make a purchase.

9. You will recognize a profitable affiliate program because at least one in fifty clicks creates a sell. Constantly monitor your expense versus profit for each set of keywords.

10. Track your keywords and delete any that do not get clicked on after two hundred impressions. The higher your click through rate, the higher position you receive in relation to your competitors.

What is Pay-Per-Click? - Ppc-Advertising

What is Pay-Per-Click?

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is when an advertiser pays for each qualified click that sends a search engine user (i.e., visitor) to the advertiser's web page. PPC requires the advertiser to bid on key words or key word phrases chosen by the advertiser. There are many PPC advertising services available to choose from. Google AdWords and Overture are probably the two most popular in use today.

The PPC search engine allows you to buy a top position in the search engine results for the particular keyword or phrase you choose. The PPC search engines can deliver targeted and qualified visitors to your web page at an economical advertising cost if you manage the program carefully with a clear objective. PPC provides the advertiser with assurance that their ad is being delivered to the targeted audience.

PPC advertising uses a bidding process where the highest bidder or highest activity value, depending on the search engine, for a particular keyword or phrase will receive the top placement on the search engine results page. The PPC search engine will place your ad text in a special location on the results page when a user searches on your PPC keyword or phrase search term.

As an example, Google AdWords appear on the right side of the search results page while the organic (i.e., natural) search results appear on the left side of the page. In the case of Yahoo! Search, the sponsored ads appear on both the left and right side of the search results page. The top 2-3 sponsored ads appear in the top positions on the left side above the natural search results and the next 3 sponsored ads appear at the bottom of the left side and on the right side of the search results page along with other sponsored ads.

PPC advertising is a good way to obtain web page visitors when you don't have a top ranking web page to get you the necessary natural search engine placement. Statistics show that over 80% of search engine users prefer the natural search results as opposed to sponsored ads. Nevertheless, the search engines deliver a huge amount of visitor traffic to the sponsored advertisers especially in the competitive keyword markets.

The typical PPC advertising campaign is based on the bid per click. For example, you bid $0.10 for a particular keyword or phrase that is accepted by the search engine. Whenever a search engine user clicks on your sponsored ad then you are charged $0.10 by the search engine. This amount is deducted from your account funds. Your placement in the search engine results page depends on the search engine. For Google, the placement is determined by your bid price and the ad's click-through activity. For Yahoo, the placement is determined by your bid relative to other bids.

PPC can be an excellent method for getting visitor traffic to your web site but it can also cost you a lot of money. You need to be extremely careful and monitor your cost of using PPC versus the revenue generated. As the old saying goes, do the math. Calculate your return on investment (ROI) on a continuous basis to determine if you are making a profit on your PPC campaign.

As an example, assume your bid for a particular keyword is $0.10 and the product you sell has a profit margin of $15 after product costs (excluding PPC costs). If your conversion rate (the number of visitors that buy your product) is 1.0%, only 1 of your visitors will buy your product out of 100 visitors. Your net profit for every 100 visitors from your PPC campaign will be $5 ($15 profit margin less $10 for PPC).

It is a good idea to experiment with the different PPC search engines to find the one that works best for you. In addition, you need to spend the necessary time and effort to select the keyword or keyword phrase that has a profitable conversion rate for your specific web page. A higher conversion rate implies more profits to you.

Try to avoid the senseless bidding war with your competitors. Seriously evaluate whether having the number one placement position is worth the PPC price you pay. What about position numbers two, three and so on. Will you get enough clicks in one of those positions to make your PPC campaign a success? Do not automatically assume that you have to be in position number one to make a lot of money using PPC. It all comes down to experimenting and testing.

There is no such thing as the perfect PPC campaign. Evaluate the performance of your PPC campaigns on a continuous basis. Are you leaving money on the table by not adjusting your PPC bid to a lower level? Should you increase the bid price to get more traffic? Is your conversion rate changing? What are your competitors doing? Should you be considering different keywords in your campaign? PPC advertising is a great way to get traffic but at a definite price. PPC requires a thorough knowledge of the PPC search engines that you use and constant monitoring and evaluation of your campaigns.

Keywords, How to Find Them, and Use Them Effectively - Ppc-Advertising

Keywords, How to Find Them, and Use Them Effectively

To be a successful affiliate marketer takes a ton of work. You probably know this by now. Really! I hear some of you say. You thought it was a piece of cake, mostly because you don't have to worry about having your own product.

Ok, so no product costs, no shipping costs, no payment processor costs, and so on. So what is so hard about being a successful affiliate.

Glad you asked! Your first step should be to make a marketing plan, or as I call it, a 'decision plan'. How many of us really make a complete marketing plan. (Not me!) I know we sh ould, but mine never completed. This is where you decide what niche, or specialtiy you want to 'major' in.

Why don't I just be in 'affiliate marketing'? you ask. Wow, talk about shooting yourself in the foot before you get off the ground. It's TOO competitive, don't you know! Also too general, maybe too vague, all over the map so to speak.

So how come it's good enough for Best Affiliate Products but too much for you? Firstly, I must mention that I do have other niche markets, and some in both the planning and preparation stages. I do heed my own advise. Secondly, someone has to protect you and lead you down the best path to success. I don't want you to experience all the pain I went through.

This is why it's important to associate Affiliate Marketing with Niche Markets. By focusing on one topic, you magnify your chance of success many times over. Doesn't matter if the niche is small or large, but you must align your thinking in this direction.

The niche can be huge, such as Auctions or EBay, and you will find a good market there. The EBay sales may be huge, but the competion for affiliate products is not excessive at all.

Take another huge Niche (specialty) such as Health. Now this competition is ferocious. Personally, I would not touch it, even though a lot of people do well with it. Why fight an uphill battle just to get started, when you can surely find ot her prospective niches.

The solution is to find smaller niches of "in demand" products. Here we go again, you say. More speeches on what to do, but HOW do we do this? And how do we do this successfully, when everyone else is also looking for the answer.

An awful lot of people feel just like you, and as a result, they never find niches, because they never look for them. There goes much of your potential competition. Good for us, OK.

The search for good, usable 'keywords' is the answer to locating a potentially profitable business. Using the right tools makes the task a lot easier, a lot faster, and less stressful from a decision making point of view.

I was just starting to prepare the list of tools to use, when I remembered that they are all listed in the gratis course I offer. The Niche Madness eCourse is 7 days of power packed info on Affiliate Marketing for Niche Markets. Go to www.bestaffiliateproducts.com and sign up for the eCourse. Learn all there is to know, over a 12 day period, as the course is sent out every 2nd day.

But I also have to tell about a new tool I discovered. Every once in a while, a really great tool is created, and I believe that this is the case here.

It's called Adwords Equalizer. It is so loaded with features that it is too much to list here. The easy and important way to see all the benefits is at my Best Products page at BestAffiliateProducts.com

This is a Product and a Half, as the saying goes. You may no longer need expensive services like Wordtracker, where you never stop paying. But the only way to see if it fits your needs, is to visit the site at the site above.

We are finding some good keywords to work with, so what comes next. Regretably, we've run out of time here, so you take the course. Again, just sign up for the Niche Madness eCourse at the link below. The answer is right there.

I wish you Happy Keyword hunting, have fun with it.
